Bürogebäude HEAG Südhessische Energie AG Darmstadt / DE
Following conversion of the HEAG Südhessische Energie AG
former workshop building, the premises now house new offices.
The complex consists of five barrel elements, separated
by fire protection walls. In the event of a fire, automatic fireresistant
doors are designed to prevent the fire from spreading
to the next section. The barrel elements of the workshop have
been completely stripped. The service rooms and the management
section have undergone thorough refurbishment.
The defining design element is the yellow ceiling, which also
morphs into a wall in some areas, extending into the individual
work areas. At the same time, it also serves as a unifying element
linking the five sections of the building. The “Mouette”
lights appear to hover over the employees as they guide them
through the building to their workplaces.
